Eagle Swap

This was special. We had driven to Grand Lake St. Marys just to see this nest. We knew there should be eggs and maybe even little eagles in the nest, but we happened to arrive as Mom and Dad eagle were both there. One eagle was leaving and the other on the job. The clouds made this a little dark. I tried to fix it but this is about as good as it gets. What a special experience.

Mid-Tune

We heard this caredinal but as soon as I saw him, he dropped into the thick shrubs. I figured I just missed the opprotunity so we moved on. We retured to the same spot a few minutes later and he was singing again. It was so beautiful. I captured this photo in the middle of his beautiful tune.

Gone Fishing

It has been a while since either of us has photographed a Great Blue Heron. This one was at Grand Lake St. Marys this week. Such a beauitiful bird.

Gotcha

I have been trying to photograpy this American Kestrel for weeks. I see him every time we go to Big Woods but can never get close. This week I stopped in the middle of the road to get this shot. I had to do it from a distance but it is not bad. I yealled, "Gotcha" and felt instant satisfaction.
