The lighting was not great but I still was able to get a decent photo of this Dark-eyed Junco. I have not seen one for a while, so I was excited to see this little bird.

Yes, there is a pond under that snow. They say its about to snow more, but we will see. I love the blue sky and the contrast with the snow. The shadows are cool too ..

Yesterday I shared a male Northern Cardinal photo that Teresa captured. Today its a female Northern Cardinal that I captured. It was a few days after the last photo, but the temperature was much better. This is a beautiful birds and one of my better photos recently.

Teresa photographed this Northern Cardinal at Stillwater Prairie Reserve last week. He is so gorgeous. The red is so brilliant. He was easy to spot. One thing for sure, he did not seem to mind the cold.
