I saw this beautiful Red-spotted Purple near the Stillwater River last week. The photos really does not do the colors justice, but I wanted to share them.

I have been watching for a female Eastern Towhee for months. I finally saw one at Charleston Falls Preserve a few days ago.
Reflecting back to past photos, I think the only location where I have photographed a female Eastern towhee has been at this same preserve. Interesting.

We saw there two killdeer on a recent hike at Grand Lake St Marys. The top photo may be the best photo I have ever taken of a killdeer.

Sometimes I am such a dude. This beautiful Indigo Bunting took me a while to locate. Funny thing: He was right in front of me and I just overlooked him. The good news - He just continued to sing and wiat for me to capture thees beautiful photos. Thank you, buddy.

I saw this young Indigo Bunting as we were hiking recently. Next thing I saw was this .. I guess he could not resist the mess. Like a kid in the cookies.
