Love the Pelicans

We tried to make it to Grand Lake St Marys ealier this year to photograph the American White Pelicans but missed them. We were there a couple weeks ago and found out they were in the area, but we didn't get to see them. This was our lucky week.

Mommy, Who’s The Wired Dude With The Camera?

It's always interesting to find yourself face to face with a deer. We were walking this trail in the fist photo and out ran into this beautiful family. Mom seems calm, but the youngsters were freaking out. We ran into them again about a mile later .. Look at mom's ears .. she may appear to be calm, but she was watching and listening to our every move.

Nature Mixed With ..

I photographed this Tawny Emperor on the bike trail close to the Miami River. I love the colors in this beautiful butterfly. #Gorgeous.

I prefer that my photos don't include man-made elements. It just takes away from what nature shares. Sometimes I don't share photos like this one, but I try to find a balance. Life is to short and nature comes the way it comes.

A Different King

I saw this Eastern Kingbird in the top of this tree while we were still a long shot away. I figured there was no way she would stay put while we hiked that way, but she did not move. Thank you!

I love the white tip on the tail feathers. Beautiful bird.

Halloween

This beautiful dragonfly is a Halloween Pennant. I love the colors and the detail is just amazing. I shot the second shot looking toward it's back. That is very different.
