Once Again: So Blue

I believe I have established the fact that I have many favorite birds and they I refer to many different species as my 'favorite'. Well, the Indigo Bunting is one of my favorites.

I believe these are two different birds. Teresa photograped the bottom photo about 15 minutes before I saw the one on the top. We were a quarter of a mile further along the trail. The blues just blow me away. Did I mention this is my favorite bird? It is today anway.

A Tale Of Two Butterflies

C4112846-88C1-4EAC-BB21-FAC1AD20C096.jpeg

Two photos .. two viceroy butterflies. What captured my attention was the condition of the butterflies. The first one appears to be in great health. The colors are vibrant, and the wings look perfect. The second one looks like it has had better days. The wings are worn and it just looks tried and like life has become a signficant struggle.

I am not sure of the age of either butterfly. I believe that even as we age, we can feel and look younger if we eat right and get enough exercise, even if that is just walking and moving every day. I am going to leave it at that .. take care of your health. No one else is going to do it for you. Eat enough protein, get some movement every day and enjoy life.

Deer In The Headlights?

Maybe not in the headlights, but clearly in our lens. Is this cute or what? This cutie was totally surprised by us walking toward her. I am sure Mom was nearby, but once she got over the shock, she turned around and ran off. So beautiful.

King Flyer

Well this was different. I could hear this Belted Kingfisher flying along the banks of the Miami River. As she flew into our view it was apparent she did not plan to land so that we could capture a photo .. so I took this photo. I took a few, but this was the only good capture. ❤️
