It has been a good butterfly season. We saw several Silver-spotted Skippers this year. They are interesting. They kind of look more like a moth but they have distinct markings. ❤️

I think we have photographed more Orange Sulphurs this year than in the past. They usually fly away before I can capture a photo, but recently the orange species has been very still for me.

We were walking near our home one day last week when we saw this monarch on a sunflower. I love this photo .. I tried to blur the background but I was not successful. It's still a good photo.

Sometiems I think skipper butterflies look more like moths than butterflies. This is a Silver-spotted Skipper. The pattern on the wings is really cool.
