Great Blue Tucked Away

This is a bit different. We were heading home, and as we approached a pond just off the road, I slowed down to see if any wildlife was hanging out. It’s not often we spot something, but I was surprised to see a great blue heron tucked behind a bush. She wasn't very visible, but I stopped the car and was able to capture this photo. Very cool.

The Northern Cardinal Connection

It has been some time since we last photographed a cardinal. Although this one was quite active, I managed to capture a few photographs. These birds represent more than just wildlife; for many, they serve as an emotional anchor or a spiritual connection.

Crazy Jay

This blue jay didn't seem to mind at all that it was just the two of us hanging out in the absolute middle of nowhere. Honestly, I think he was just waiting for me to drop a snack. Or maybe he was judging my photography skills. Either way, pretty bold for a guy who can literally fly anywhere else in the world. Crazy jay.
