We have seen so many Northern Cardinals this past week. Of course, as I previously mentioned, they are easier to spot now that it's late fall. They sure a amazing and it never gets old.

Earlier last week I shared a photo of a Red-winged Blackbird and expressed my surprise to see one this time of year. Well, two days later we were hiking near the Stillwater River and I saw several more of them. Here is one of the photos .. much better color.

The positive thing about this time of year is how much easier it is to spot birds once the trees are leaves free. This Northern Flicker was easy to spot, but more difficult to photograph.
