Hoarding Nuthatch

It has been a while since I photographed a White-breasted Nuthatch. This one was doing some gymnastics. Gotta love them.

I read this cool little fact on the site linked above ..

If you see a White-breasted Nuthatch making lots of quick trips to and from your feeder – too many for it to be eating them all – it may be storing the seeds for later in the winter, by wedging them into furrows in the bark of nearby trees.

No surprise .. enjoy.

Fly Away

This one is different too. I captured this photo of this crow while hiking this week. I was trying to photograher him in a tree and then he took off and this is what I got. I was surpriesed at the detail.
