Chat Mode On

This Yellow-breasted Chat was making a lot of noise .. chatting I guess. We could hear him as we approached this line of trees but it took a long time to locate him. I never was able to get a clean photo but this came out great.

This House Wren seemed to want his photo taken. He moved around a little, but never flew away. We took a few photos, then we moved on .. she stayed.

My What A Long Beak You Have

I am so happy that Teresa spotted this Northern Flicker. I would have walked passed him without noticing. I am really thankful she enjoys hiking and photography as much as I do ... I hate to think of how many great photos would be missed without her great eye.

As for this flicker, he's looking thin.

A Cat?

I have heard several Gray Catbirds when we have been hiking this spring but I have not been able to get a good photo. Teresa saw this one and while we both captured a few photos, mine were less than good. Teresa captured this photo and it is great.
