Looking For A Snack

We saw a few Downy Woodpecker on one of our hikes this week. This one was a worker. He was going up and down the limbs on this tree, picking at every little nook to find food. I guess he is not fasting.

Dude, Please Turn Around

We were actually in the car when I saw this little guy. I was focused on a woodpecker when this bird flew into my view. It's like someone yelled 'squirrel'. There went my focus ...

At fist it looked like a Goldfinch. After looking at it for a long time, I am farily was conceived it was a Golden-crowned Kinglet. I did not get a photo of the head or I would be more sure.
