Northern Flicker

This is a Northern Flicker. Its a male. Several of them were in the grass along the hiking trail at Stillwater Prairie Reserve earlier this week. It’s been a while since I have seen a Flicker. They are such a cool bird.

Please Take My Picture

We saw this Red-bellied Woodpecker near the Stillwater River yesterday. The birds were very active, and I guess he wanted his photo taken. I was happy to take care of that.

Starlings

I saw these two Common Starlings while hiking this week. To be honest, I am still not sure about the colors of the one in the single shot. The body is definately that of a starling.
