We actually saw several woodpeckers, but this was the only one I was able to photography on this particular day.

For the next two weeks, Ohio is under an older to “Stay at Home’. The order allows for walks and outdoor exercise. I plan to hike as many days as possible. Nature is still calling. Stay safe and be smart.

I don’t think these beautiful birds understand the importance of mataining 6 feet of distance .. the woodpecker does seem offended that the titmouse is so close, and frankly so bold.
I guess the phrase of the year is “social distancing”. I hope everyone is doing well. Be safe!

This cardinal was playing games with us. He would hop in the trees where taking a good photo was near impossible. The colors were too good, so I could not give up.
