Funny Squirrel - Funny Humans

We were hiking on the bike trail along the Great Miami River just south of the Farrington Reserve when Teresa spotted this cute squirrel. We snapped a couple photos ..

.. and then he spotted us. It looked at us and I could almost here him saying to himself, "Who are these crazy humans taking my picture?"

Much like Santa, he turned and ran away .. then up the chimney, I mean tree he ran. The next time we spotted him, he was once again checking us out with that same look .. 'strange humans."

I Survived

It always amazing me to witness the robustness of wildife. It has been so cold yet they survive.

I photographed this female Northern Cardinal at Big Woods yesterday. I heard her faint calls first, then I was able to located her in a tree just a short distance from where we were walking. The sun was shining and the sky was blue .. it was very cool.

We saw two males a day earlier this week, but I was not successful at getting a photo. This female cardinal made my day. I could hear her wispering, "I survived'.

Bring Back Summer
