I photographed this White-breasted Nuthatch a few days ago. The tempeature has taken a big turn to the cold side so birding has slowed down. I guess Mother-nature forgot spring has begun. Bring back those warmer temperatures!

I don't know what is going on with the Mourning Dove on the right but that is interesting. It looks like some kind of distoration in the photo .. like two birds instead of one.
When I photographed this, my mind jumped to "The twelve days of Christmas".

We are taking a lot more hikes now that spring weather has arrived. While we see a few birds, the thing we see most seems to be squirrels. They are really happy to have this amazing weather. It's 🥜 to watch them. Often we see 2 to 5 of them playing their version of tag.
