Year Around Ohio Bird

I took these photos before the recent snowfall. The \[American Robin\](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_robin) is really interesting. We have them here in Ohio year around. The show up everywhere .. in the cities and towns, as well as out were we hike. I am often surprised they are not our state bird. \~ Rick

Small Woody

This is a Downy Woodpecker. It is a male. The female does not have the red crown on the head. The downy is a very samll woodpecker. In fact, I read that is is the smallers woodpecker in North America.

Another River View

Another view of the Stillwater River. This is a little further downstream from the last river photo I shared. You can see the ice on the river. It was really cold the on the day Teresa shot this photo. Brrrr.

Where Is That Nut

This little guy was heading stright towards us then stopped, looked around, picked up a nut and ran the other way. I guess he didn't want to visit with us. Finding food was play time!
