Teresa shot the first two photos of these Snowy Egrets. The last photo is a Great Egret. The easy way to tell the difference appears to be the color of the beak.

We did not see many Elk while at Yellowstone. I did have some elk for dinner one night, but I’ll just stick to the photos.

After a great experince with our son and his family at Yellowstone, we drove to Utah. We spend a couple days there befroe heading home.

Before heading home we had some time Monday and we took a drive to the Farmington Bay Wildlife Management Area where we photographed this White-faced Ibis. The last photo is one that Teresa captured, and I took the other two.

What an interesting bird. The photos are a litlte dark, but I think that enhances the photos. Just my taste. ~ Rick

Hidden Peaks

The weather was not great on the day we drove through the Teton National Forest region. The top two photos are my attempt to capture The Three Tetons up close. The clouds were so low that most of the mountains were hidden from view. I still like these photos.

A few days later, as we drove from Yellowstone to Utah, I shot the bottom photo. It was cloudy and even hazy. I had to doctor the photo to even get this view. I tried :). At least the beautiful peaks were visible.

Crazy, Cool Bird

The Raven is a very large bird. We have photographed them in the past in California. They were all over the place at Yellowstone.

I really love this bird. They fly fast and with precision. Their large beak is strong. They are also very bold. I had one come right up by me. Crazy, very cool bird.

These photos are shots that Teresa and I took of them in various places around Yellowstone. I just thought I would share a few.
