Young And Cute

This young donkey was born last year on the farm where we get our pastured eggs and some of our beef. He is growing so fast. Teresa capture this shot as we were about to drive off. He is a cutie.

“Nothing To See Here .. “

I captured this photo of this cardinal last week. Sometime you will find then on the ground .. but they are in trees most often. This one was casually strolling around at the base of this tree .. I could almost hear him saying, “Nothing to see here. Move along”.

This was not an easy photo. Too much extra stuff for the camera to get a good focus. I still love a cardinal photo.

Nesting Time?

I hearing from birders that they are seeing Red-winged Blackbirds showing up in Ohio already. We have not seen any yet, but the migration has begun.

This photo is interesting. Stay warm and out of the snow.

Hey Crazy Guy In The Mini

This is one of the best photos of a Red-tailed Hawk that I have shot this year. She seemed to be curious and not afraid.

We were driving on a country road when I spotted her in this tree. I figured that she would fly away when I stopped to take a photo, but she just looked at me and stayed put. I love this photo:).

Quiz Time ..

A quick quiz: male or female?

…

…

…

In case you forget, this is a female Downy Woodpecker. The key is the red markings on the head of the male. The second photo is a male.
