Taking a Break

public.jpeg

We have been taking photos of butterflies almost daily. Bird activity has been slower, and beauty of the butterflies has captured our attention and our cameras.

Teresa captured this photo. If you zoom in, there is some great detail.

Summer Is Fading

public.jpeg

Teresa took this photo this week. Nature is slowly moving us toward the fall. The summer grass and wild flowers are starting to wither and fall changes are happening right now .. at least it is starting.

Those Eyes

public.jpeg

It is not perfect but you can see his eyes. I added a closer look to the right. I love the details. I shot that with my 600mm lens from about 15 feet. Not bad.

Bees are very cool. They are so diriven to do the work of bees. This dude was no exception.

A Cardinal Squat

And then he was gone. This squatting motion did not last long, but it preceded a quick takeoff. It’s still a beautiful Northern Cardinal.

Who’s There?

Another one of my favorites is the Red-bellied Woodpecker. We saw this one a couple weeks ago at Glen Helen Nature Preserve. He was all over this tree, and it took a while to get a good photo.
