Just Drying Out

It that time of year when even the turtles are excited about spring. Teresa took the top photo at Garbry Big Woods. I took the second photo at Kiser Lake. How romantic are these two couples.

Osprey

I was really excited when I saw this Osprey flying at Kiser Lake. Their diet is 100% fish, so I should not have been so surprised. When we fist saw her, I thought it was a hawk, but as we watched, and I capture this photo, I could tell we were looking at something different. I have only photographed one other Osprey prior to this photo. Very cool.

The Other Woodpecker

We hiked at Kiser Lake State Park Thursday Morning. Teresa was the first to spot this beautiful Red-headed Woodpecker. His color was beautiful. He was digging in this tree for insects.

I see Red-bellied Woodpeckers all the time, but this is the other woodpecker that I love to photograph.

Sparrow at The Opera

I have shared similar photos before .. a small bird singing her heart out. I was just noticing how different various species of sparrow sound. It’s mind blowing. Get outdoors and listen to those little music makers. It is nothing short of beautiful and amazing.

The Robin Song

If you are in Ohio, have you seen (or heard) all of the Robins this past couple of weeks? They are really active, and so vocal. This one was extra brave and just ignored us.
