A Busy Night

We hiked along the Stillwater River a couple of times this week. I took these photos near the Rangeline Road Entrance to the Stillwater Prairie Reserve. I saw thousands of these webs along the trail. There were everwhere along the trail and throughout the reserve. It was a busy night.

Butterflies And Bees

Funny that when I was looking at this photo I missed the bee. I love it when I find more in a photo after I take the picture. That seems to happen more often than I would expect.

The Big House

This was home to a few Bald-faced Hornets. I did not see any today and given the cold weather recently, I am not sure they are still active. What a big house they have built.

Smile For The Guy With The Camera

I cannot tell you how many times I have seen a chipmunk but failed to capture a photo. This one ran across the trail and onto this log. The difference this time was that she stopped and did not move. I could not believe it ... so I snapped a few photos. Cute.
