Finally …

We saw our first Monarch Butterfly of the season this week. I didn't expect to see three, and maybe even four on the same day. This is very late in the season to see them. Its odd but we have not seen many of viceroy butterflies either.

A Pair of Pearls

This photo of a pari of Pearl Crescent butterflies is good, but it really was more amazing in real life. They were slowly opening and closing their wings and a form of dance. It was beautiful.

A Tiger

A flying tiger 😂. This is a Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly. She has some damage but still beautiful.

Friendly Tawny Emperor

This is a Tawny Emperor Butterfly. To say they are friendly is an understatement. This one let me record a video while it absorbed some minerals / sweat. We usually see this behavior from a different butterfly that I will feature another day soon.
