One Last Time

I have a feeling this is the last photo I capture of a Cabbage White Butterfly in 2020. The weather is too cold for them to hang around. So, this is likely the last of the these amazing butterflies in 2020. It’s cold outside.

I have a few other butterfly photos to share but its time to move on.

I Got It

I have to share a quick story. We were hiking near the Stillwater River when we saw this Silver-spotted Skipper flying near us. I tried for a long time to capture a photo of this beautiful butterfly, but no luck. I guess it was not my day.

As we walked the trail, Teresa walks up behind me and says casually, “I got it”. And she did. Good photo Teresa. She always has my back.

Saying Goodbye

Say hello to a beautiful Painted Lady Butterfly. We saw a few of them this week on a ‘Butterfly Walk’ at Stillwater Prairie Reserve.

This was the last official ‘Butterfly Walk’ of 2020. I can’t say I am said that 2020 is winding down. The naturalist that lead the walk called it our ‘goodbye’ to the butterflies outing. How sad is that.

We will keep photographing them until we get a heavy frost. Life goes on as seasons come and go.

Another Skipper

I believe this is a Hobomok Skipper. It’s a butterfly, but they sure look like a moth. Those eyes are sure interesting.
