Wow, this is a good sign. We saw two Red-winged Blackbird this week. They are the first migartory birds we see every year .. and here they are. So beautiful!

Hiding In The Trees
When I shot this photograph I thought I saw a aparrow. When I got home, I discovered it was a Carolina Wren. She was not easy to see or photograph. Love this bird.

Mr Ugly Is Back
If you have followed me here for long, you know I have often refered to Turkey Vultures as 'Mr. Ugly'. I guess I don't really dislike them, but I did find them ugly. The Black Vultures are not any more attractive. They are graceful flyers, but just not good looking.
This is the second one we have seen in the past week. Spring is right around the corner. I know there are going to be baby eagles in several nest near us any day now. I expect to see Red-winged blackbirds sometime in the next 3 weeks or so. I saw a Carolina Wren this week too. This wren does not migrate, but we rarely see them around here during the winter months.
Bring on spring!

Starlings Everywhere
So many European Starling. I rarely see just one starling .. there is usally a tree full, or a power line with hundreds of them.

Big Eyes
This Tufted Titmouse was jumping around .. back and forth between this tree and the nearby feeder. I love their eyes. Big and round and always looking.
