A Windy Day

You know it is windy when even a small sparrow looks windblown.

Mallard Meetup

I saw these Mallards on the Great Miami River. They were some distance upstream from our location. Must have been a great meeting.

I am so thankful for this warmer weather. I am not sure how long it will last, but it's great. Have a great day.

Happy 2023!

Maybe this sparrow was thinking about his 2023 goals? This feeder has been empty for a while so I was happy to this. Have a very happy new year .. make it a great year.

Not Excited?

This Song Sparrow was playing games with me. It took a few attemps to get a photo. I guess she was not excited about an apperance in my photo. 🙈

I Survived

It always amazing me to witness the robustness of wildife. It has been so cold yet they survive.

I photographed this female Northern Cardinal at Big Woods yesterday. I heard her faint calls first, then I was able to located her in a tree just a short distance from where we were walking. The sun was shining and the sky was blue .. it was very cool.

We saw two males a day earlier this week, but I was not successful at getting a photo. This female cardinal made my day. I could hear her wispering, "I survived'.
