Remember the game, ‘Pick-up Sticks’? This nuthatch was never able to pick up this stick. It did not keep him from trying ... for a long time.

A Song .. One Of Many

We saw another migrating bird this week. This is a Brown Thrasher. I have taken photos of Brown Thrashers in the past, but usually only in the spring. I guess this one was right on schedule.

They say this bird can sign about 3000 distinct songs. I have heard a couple.

The Swallows Have Arrived

The spring migration continues. We saw several tree swallows this week. Both of these seemed to want a photo taken. They are fun to watch as they dart arouind and catch bugs.
