Out Of Range?

Adjustments.jpeg
Adjustments.jpeg

I don’t think I have shared this story before. I was flying my drone and wanted to get this photo of the colors that were about a half mile off the road. I flew the drone back toward the tree line but before it could get close enough for the photo I had a message pop up saying that the drone was at the end of its range. That was nuts .. this thing can fly a lot further than that. I know, because I have done it.

Well, I shot these photos anyway, but later I found a settling that was incorrect. It will not happen again:).

This Green Pond

Adjustments.jpeg

The water level of this pond is way down, and its still very green. There was still a lot of green in these trees. That said, the mix of color is very cool.

This video contains photos and videos we have shot over the last two or three weeks. There are more photos than I am comfortable putting in a single video, but I wanted to share all of them. There are more, but these are some of the best!

Lost Ducks

Adjustments.jpeg

As I approached this poind, I saw two ducks. They were hiding behind the tree line and I lost them in trees. Well, I send the drone to see if I could get a photo🧐🤓.

The 1st photo is what I managaged to capture before i lost them again. The 2nd photo does not really help. but this was the last I saw them. I did not see them fly away, so I am guessing they are were hinding under the trees. Ha.

A Drone Mission

Adjustments.jpeg

This was an interesting photograph. I saw the colors but we were not close enough to get a good shot. Instead, we drove to a parking lot and I flew the drone back to where the colors were and took the photo. I guess this was a drone mission.

I really love drone photography. It’s been a while since I had so much fun flying my drone. It was a good day:).

Dressed for Winter

FullSizeRender.jpg

I know I have written this before, but I love drone photography. I was listening to a podcast a few days ago, and the host was talking about how limiting drone photography is. It’s true, for the most part it is a form of landscape photography, but there is something awesome about the perspective it brings to a photo that excited me. These photos are an example.

I love that tree. I have photographed it before, but these two views, and that frozen, snow covered pond blow me away. You can see the melting ice on the edges of the pond. The color transistions are intense in what seems to be a lifeless scene.

When I look at it, I see a green heron and belted kingfisher that I photographed there several times last spring and summer. I see the cardinal that posed for me in that tree on many early summer mornings. In my minds eye, I see the ducks on tha pond on a fall day last year. These memories are vivid and lasting imprints that will endure for a lifetime.

Yes, this is just a landscape photo from a drone. To me, it is memories. It is nature, dressed for winter, from above. In a few weeks, it will dress for spring. I can’t wait to fly a drone and capture that scene too.

Enjoy every day, my friends. Hugs!
