Bug Photography

DSC_1013.jpeg

I have shot more photos of Widow Skimmers and other ‘bugs’ this year than any summer in the past. I am enjoying the amazing details in these crazy looking creatures. Perhaps I am becoming a bug photographer. 🤯

This photo has so many different textures, colors and the details are amazing. I took a second photo of the same Skimmer, just in a different spot and lush greens in the background.

The last photo is another Widow Skimmer, but this one is a female (the top two are males). This photo lacks the textures but has great details of the skimmer.

I often think that when I upload these photos to the web I am loosing some image quality. I need to dig into this and understand it better. I am certain these photos look better on my ipad before I upload them. If you want a copy, email or DM me and I will email you a full resolution image. They are really cool.
