Chickadee In A Tree

The photo did not come out great but this was the first Carolina Chickadee we have seen in a while. Such a small bird. ❤️

Here We Go Again ..

I still don't like snow, but this is a beautiful photo. The sky was a little grey, but snow covered trees age cool. Now that the snow is melting, we are preparing for another round of snow. Stay warm and safe!

Where Is The Pond?

The geese seem to be confused by the snow. The pond is behind them.

A Snow Day .. A Cardinal Day

Snow .. lots of snow! That was our day Sunday. We did see this cardinal! Beautiful as always. They seem to be even more beautiful when there is fresh snow.

Nest

What a contrast. The top nest is about the size of a very small tea cup. It could easily fit in the palm of my hand. I can't tell for sure what bird built this nest, but it would be a very small. This nest is just three or four inchers across. So tiny and very low to the ground.

The second nest is from a Bald Eagle. She is currently in the nest (yes, look close). They have new eggs in there. That nest is six or seven feet accros. and likly as tall. It is high up in the trees.

Very cool.
