I don't share photos of flowers often, but these photos need to be shared.
We were hiking at Stillwater Prairie Reserve early this past week. Near the new bridge we saw this single Gaillardia (Blanket Flower) (second photo). It was so beautiful. As we continued to walk, we found a couple more (top photo). Nature is full of surprises.

We did not expect to see these yet, but they are looking great. Teresa shot this photo while we hiked along the bike path in Piqua. I saw a couple of loud blue jays, but was not able to get a good photo. Oh, the temperature was in the 60’s. Wow.

Teresa and I take a very different approach to photography. She tends to see shots like this one that I often miss. I am normally looking for birds, and larger landscapes. See she’s the fine details in the flowers and nature. I think that is why we like to hike .. we see the same thing very differently. That is a good thing .. in my opinion.
I think the cricket is lost. I love the details in this photo. Teresa took this photo in Maui. It’s among the photos I had not shared yet. I love this photo, and the photographer is beautiful too.
