Black & White Chill

This time of year I enjoy black and white photography. It fits with the overall environment so well.

This shot was taken near Twin Arches Reserve, on the Miami RIver bike trail. It was a gloomy day! There was a stillness in the air, and on the river. A black and white photo captures that well.

Persistence

This photo reminded me of this quote from Calvin Coolidge:

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”

Sun On The Lake

This drone shot is a little washed out, but I love the sun reflecting on the water. This Iwas earlier this fall at Kiser Lake State Park. It’s not a big lake, but it looks larger in this view.

A Fall Sunrise

This photo goes back a few weeks. It was right after a local farmer had finish his harvest. It was a cool morning, but much warmer than today. The sun had just risen and the clouds provided a nice contrast to the blue sky. The colors the sun brought to the morning made this a beautiful shot. I sure love the outdoors.

Its That Time Of Year …

According to the calendar, winter is just around the corner. When I walked out of the house early yesterday, I thought to myself, winter is here. Even this photo says cold winter day. The gloomy cloud cover, the colors .. all that is missing is snow (that four letter word that I don’t like).

I had to get that out of my system. 😳😬
