Fort Zion

Teresa took this photo not to long after we left Zion National Park. I loved the colors they used, and found the ‘undertaker’ builiding to be a bit odd. Clearly, they didn’t want anyone walking around.

Let’s make some noise

FullSizeRender.jpg

I took this photo of this Red-Winged Black Bird in May of 2015. I was taking photos of a friend at Charleston Falls Preserve. The colors are great, especially the greens. That makes me anxious for spring. That is right around the corner, right?

The bird .. well, just making some noise!

A Cardinal proposal?

Well, she does not seem to be as interested as he is. I took this photo about 4 years ago. I have been back to this location many times, and I think I have seen the happy couple. They have both matured and they seem to be happy 😊 .

A special moon this week

IMG_0395.JPG

This week is a big one for moon observers (yes, that is a pun). Wednesday evening, Jan 31, we will be treated to a supermoon. The moon will reach it’s closest point to the earth in this orbit, and give us a beautiful view. We will also witness a lunar eclipse. That should be visible early on the morning of the 31st, sometime around 6A. The maximum eclipse will be at around 7:37A, and we will not see the total esclise here in Ohio (the moon will set before it occurs for us).

This photo was taken a couple years ago. It is actually two photos combined into one. I have a thing about pictures of the moon.

Gone fishing ... in the mountains

DSC_3680.JPG
FullSizeRender.jpg

On the first day in Utah of this past trip, we stopped to photograph the sunrise. The temperature was in the lower 40s. We had spent the night in St George, and we off on our journey. The morning was crisp and we were excited for the sun to rise over the mountains. When it did, I captured this photo of these two fishing.

Sometimes the simple things bring the most calm. I can image fishing here. It looks so relaxing and peaceful.

I have never been good at taking time to relax. I have done more of that in the last month than in years (except for our vacation to Hawaii two years ago). I have to say, I am feeling so much better, and stress free.  Take a little time to let the stress go ... perhaps go fishing in the mountains.
