On frozen pond

FullSizeRender.jpg

Even a frozen pond makes a landscape photo look better. It was cold the morning I took this photo. At the time we took this trip, Utah was way under the normal for snowfall. You can see some snow in the mountains, but they should have much more. This is not good for the coming spring.

Not far from this spot we saw a group ice fishing. I guess some people love the cold weather. I’m not one of them. Give me heat. (And I guess it was bigger than a pond👍😳)

Friday, the sunset and prespecive

FullSizeRender.jpg

What better way to need the work week with a sunset photo. I shared a photo Teresa took of this year at sunset earlier this week. It’s amazing how different a photo can be when you just change the perspective.

I received good news from my doctor this week. My PSA levels are undectable, which is a good indicator. Going into the test, I was so worried about cancer coming back. While this does not mean that it will not come back someday, this is great news. My prespective on life has change so much since I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, followed by successful surgery. Think about it: So much of life is about prespecive!

Have an amazing weekend.

A rock with features

FullSizeRender.jpg

I am fascinated by this rock and it’s features. Maybe I should have been a Petroloigist or something. The complexity, the layers ... it’s just cool. The river runs by this rock, which makes it even more interesting.

For some extra reading, perhaps for the rock geeks among us, here is a list of rock types. There will not be a test!

Mountains, standing tall

FullSizeRender.jpg

This photo was taken by Teresa while we were driving to the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. I love the unique texture, and how the mountains rise out of the desert.

Perhaps it’s your day to stand tall like these mountains, out of the desert of life. Have a good day!

Similar but different

FullSizeRender.jpg

We are planing our next photo trip. This one will be to Yosemite National Park. I’m hoping for this spring, so fingers crossed.

I didn’t geotag this photo, but I believe I took it near Zion National Park. I love the Symmetry or the three rock formations.  Similar but different ... like people.
