This week is a big one for moon observers (yes, that is a pun). Wednesday evening, Jan 31, we will be treated to a supermoon. The moon will reach it’s closest point to the earth in this orbit, and give us a beautiful view. We will also witness a lunar eclipse. That should be visible early on the morning of the 31st, sometime around 6A. The maximum eclipse will be at around 7:37A, and we will not see the total esclise here in Ohio (the moon will set before it occurs for us).
This photo was taken a couple years ago. It is actually two photos combined into one. I have a thing about pictures of the moon.
Prints are available for many of the photos on this site on canvas, metal or glass. They are stunning and you can purchase them for a wall at home. Click the link or the ‘prints and such’ tab.
