Honey, I Shrunk …

One of the things I don't do often enough is photograph the floor of the forest. When you stop and look down you often see some amazing beauty of nature. It is often there to see ... we just don't take time to stop and look around.

Fallen But Not Forgotten

Clearly this tree has been down for a long time. What is really cool is how new life grows where the old life ends. Life is a big circle that never ends.

I shot this photo while hiking at Garbry Big Woods Sanctuary. Such a beautiful place!

Colors? Where?

We took a hike this week to see how the status of the colors. A lot of yellows and greens, but not much to see yet. Many trees have lost their leaves already too. The next two or three weeks should see more color, but I am not epecting it to be as colorful as last year. We will see.
