What a beautiful Pearl Crescent. With the change in seasons and cooler temperatures we are not seeing as many butterflies. This just made me happy.

This is a Variegated Fritillary butterfly. Check out the details wings. That is amazing.
She must have really wanted us to take a photo .. Every time we came close to her, she would fly ahead about 10 feet, wait for us, then repeat the process.

I love the colors of the Painted Lady butterfly. This one landed about 20 feet in front of us. As we walked closer, she would take off and put more space between her and us, then repeat.
