I am really surprised that we are still seeing Buckeye Butterflies. This one was in the grass at the edge of the hiking trail. She still has great color!

Not So Sure
This tool I use to help me identify butterflies when I am confused (often) says this is a Variegated Fritillary. I really doubt it, but I am going with it. I photograpned him with my iPhone on the banks of the Miami River.
