Another Perl

This time of year I think the most common butterfly in this part of the world is Pearl Crescent. They are everwhere. Sometimes we will see 4 or 5 having a party in the grass. It's wild.

And Yet Another One

I was beginning to think we would not see another Monarch Butterfly this year, but there she was. I hope we see a few more this week. We continue to hike with fingers crossed.

More On The Hackberry

I really love the Hackberry Emperor. They are not as colorfull as some butterfly, but they are just fun. They are rarely seen on flowers which is not a commong trait for butterflies. This one was on the side of this tree.

Beautiful Viceroy

This beautiful Viceroy flew by us on a recent hike. I don't think I can describe how excited I was to watch her make her way up the trail. I was even more excited when she paused and gave me a few moments to capture a couple photos. It made my day.
