Small Bird. Big Eyes.

The Tufted Titmouse is such a cool bird. We tend to see them most often in the winter. Such a small bird yet seems to be very robust. And the eyes are amazing.

A First?

This may be a first, or at least the first time in a long time. It is a Brown Creeper. They are such a very small bird. At fist I thought I was looking at a nuthartch, but it is even smaller and the long, curved bill is unique. I wish I was able to get a better shot, but it was super cloudy and she would not hold still😱.

A Mourning Dove Invasion

One morning this week we stopped at Big Woods to see the birds at the feeder. We were surpried to see so many Mourning Doves. I tried to count them but there was too many. It seemed like a Mourning Dove invasion.

Winter Gold

I do not remember photographing an American Goldfinch at this time of year before. I mean it is winter! Maybe my memory is failing me. We saw a couple of them this week.
