Birds Suffer Too

Song birds are special. I love watching them lift their beaks toward the sky and let out this beautiful music.

I wanted to share one of many articles that describes an issue that many birds are dealing with right now. Please take time to read thse articles:

• Scientists don't know why hundreds of birds are getting sick and dying across the U.S.

• Local bird disease remains a mystery

This is very concerning. We observed at least one bird that seemed to be suffering from early symptoms of this disease. It is very sad.

A Yellow Week

This must be the week for the American Goldfinch. We have seen a few this year, but this week took it to another level. I had to share a couple photos.

Wow!

I love the Red Admiral Butterfly. The colors were stunning. While it is a good photo, it just does not captured the intensity of the colors are. It has been months since I last saw one of these. All I could do was capture this photo and utter the simple word, "Wow".

Eastern Bluebird .. Finally

We have not seen a Eastern Bluebird since early spring. Actually, we saw a few last week, but neither of us capture 'good' photo. I shot one photo, but it was really bad so I hit delete.

I love this photo .. but I guess I love all bird photos.
