Don’t Mind The Cold

The weather has been wet and cold. That does not seem to slow down the Downy Woodpeckers. From the spot where I shot this photo, I saw at least three of them. I guess they don’t mind the cold.

Small.Fast.Paranoid

This is a Tufted Titmouse. Yes, this is a very small bird, that is very fast, and totally paranoid. They are actually considered a ‘large’ Titmouse, but in the scale of things, it is a very small bird, and constantly on the move. I usually only see them in the winter months.

A Bluebird Hangout!

On Monday we saw a large number of Eastern Bluebirds. At about this same time of year that I last saw this many of them .. near the same location. Of course, we went back the next day ... not a single bluebird.

Introducing Mr and Mrs ..

We did not see any cardinals for months, and then this last few days we have seen a large number of them. This happy couple was hanging out at the Stillwater Prairie Reserve this week. So cool. I am actually not sure this is the couple because we saw so many of them. That said, these two were together, so I assume this is a couple.

Count Them …

When I took this photo, I saw 1 cardinal. Setting here looking at the photo, I see three, and maybe four. This is not my best cardinal photo, but I still love it.
