The Colors Make This Photo

This Red-winged Blacbird was only 10 feet away from me, so this is a great photo. The lighting was not perfect. It was a very clear day, and the sun position relative to me and my camera was not perfect, but I love this photo. The colors are wonderful.

Gnat Catching

This is a blue-gray Gnatcatcher. Yes, it’s just a small flycatcher. I would like to have my own flock of these birds to accompany me when I am walking the bike path ... sometimes there are these large xx of gnats, and I really don’t want the extra protein. I would be happy to let the Gnatcatchers feast on the gnats.

Air Out

Guard Duty

We continue to see a large number of Indigo Bunting’s. It seems like we see a few every time we hike.

We hiked every day this week. The temperature has been increasing, so some of those hikes were very hot. I love hot weather, so this suites me well. At least for now:).

Goldfinch Summer

I guess he was a little far away. I cropped this to get to this photo, but its still too small.

I really am a big fan of the American Goldfinch. They make beautiful music and they have such great color. There was three of them, but I was only able to capture a few photos. This was the best of them.
