Cycles of life

FullSizeRender.jpg

I was trying to capture the tree that is to the right side of this photo. It’s a dead tree, but I often find some amazing birds in it’s limbs. It’s ironic how a dead tree host some of the most amazing wildlife. The old tree stands in the middle of all of this new, lush green scenery . It’s all part of the larger cycle of life.

This photo was taken at Garbry Big Woods Reserve.

Have a great day.

Greens, blues, and wow.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I walk by this spot almost every day. I have taken hundreds of photos of birds in this area, mostly behind where I was standing when I took this photo. These trees, the grass, the now green pond, the clouds ... all of that rain this week left behind this lush green sceen. This one is worthy of a frame. I will be printing it.

Speaking of which, I will be selling photos next Saturday in Sidney, Ohio. I am including a flyer for the event here. I hope to see you there:). If you are interested in a copy and cannot download it drop me a note and I will email it to you. My email is rick@rickcartwright.com.

I posted this one in instagram a couple days ago .. but I love it so much I had to post it here. I took this just after sunrise while on a photo walk. The sun made this photo ...
