I shot this photo a couple weeks ago and I forgot to post it. I had the wrong lens on my camera for the photograph, so even at 200mm, she was too far away. I still love the image. The depth of field makes the background appear confused and noisy, while main image is focus. I can’t make out the second bird, and I am guessing I did not even see him.

Teresa took this photo at Lake Loramie State Park on Friday. As I mentioend in the video, we saw five Greg Blue Herons on Friday. These beautiful birds migrate, so I am sure they are heading south. I have not seen one for several weeks, so this was a surprise.
I am not sure what he has in his mouth, but it appears he was having breakfast. It takes a lot of energy for the long flight.

We went back to Lake Loramie State Park today to capture the last of the great fall colors. The blue herons were there in large numbers. A very good hike!

I don’t have a lot to say about this photo. I just love the colors and the buttery depth of field of the background. It’s hard for me to believe it’s November. We are approaching Thanksgiving quickly, and then it’s Black Friday. Time sure passes quickly.
