Aged trees

FullSizeRender.jpg

I like this bridge. It’s not really anything special .. just very cool.  The trees are more interesting. So many young trees, just starting out, but some older trees have fallen, and didn’t make it through the winter.

Just a fun photo.

The Roar of flowing water

FullSizeRender.jpg
IMAGE.JPG

Time exposure gives flowing water this amazing appearance. This was taken at Greenville Falls, near Covington, Ohio. I had a second photo without the time exposure, so I’ll share that too.

Water levels are up due to all of the rain and snow recently. The falls was fast and loud. Another sign that spring is coming fast. You could hear the roar of the flowing water from some distance.

We took a walk yesterday at Aullwood Garden Metro Park. It was not real warm, but this warmed me all over. FLOWERS!!! Made my day. I cropped it a little so you can see the details and the color. Simply wonderful.  I guess they were just waiting for daylight savings time.

Teresa took the photo at the bottom .. Great colors in this shot. We had fun. More photos from our little spring walk soon.

There goes Peter Cottontail

FullSizeRender.jpg

I guess I surprised Peter. He wasted no time getting away. I guess it’s that time of year 😱.

Many years ago, I raised rabbits. They are an interesting and cute creature. It’s not uncommon for us to find a nest of them near our home in the spring / early summer. So, how did the rabbit become part of the Easter tradition? From Wikipedia:

Originating among German Lutherans, the "Easter Hare" originally played the role of a judge, evaluating whether children were good or disobedient in behavior at the start of the season of Eastertide.” (wikipedia

The folklore and symbols ... Christmas? Interesting.

Beautiful Mesa Falls

I took this photo in August, 2006 in Idaho. This is the Upper Mesa Falls, just north-east of Rexburg. It’s is much bigger than what I expected. I remember how beautiful it was, and the roar of the water. Simply beautiful. Nature has so much to share.
