The quote is from the book, “King Perry”, by Edmond Manning. I am not absolutely certain, but I believe this is a duck couple. They couple appear to have just had a spat. Cute, but why swim upstream? 

This second photo is from Las Vegas. I was having a late lunch and this duck swims up beside me. There was two of them, but this is the better photo. They were not interested in swimming .. it was all about my food:).

Layers of clouds

I love how the clouds are slightly transparent, and look like they are layered in the sky. This is such a beautiful sunrise. I took this from my car while I was stopped in the middle of the road. It was fairly early in the morning, it was a weekend, and there were no other cars in sight .. and this was the outcome. Cheers.

Follow the lead goose ...

There is something special about the way geese fly and swim ... it’s the ‘formations’ that captivates me. I have so many video clips of geese flying. Some may think I’m a little crazy. Every once and a while you will see one or even a few of them start to get off course, and they will make a correction. Their flight seems so intentional and purposeful.  These three geese seemed to have their own destination - they are on the way to someplace.  

By the way, although they are noisy, and often make a mess (they leave a trail wherever they go), they are graceful.

The parting clouds and setting sun ..

This is one of my favorite photos from Waikiki beach in Hawaii. The sun had set and we were standing on the beach watching the boats and people. The fading light was slow to give way to the darkness of night, but left us with this beautiful scene. The clouds seemed to part just enough to let us enjoy the colors that remained from the setting sun. What a sight.
