Deep water

FullSizeRender.jpg

I posted a photo of this bridge on Dec 30 .. this is the same bridge, but I could not get the same perspective because the water was so high. The previous photo was taken when everything was green during late summer.

Check out the video for more photos and video of the high water.

2018: Water under the bridge

FullSizeRender.jpg

I have not been able to get outdoors to capture any photography for a few days, and Monday was just too wet. I thought I would share this photo that Teresa captured this past summer. I love the elements of this shot: the small stream of water, the down tree, and that cool little bridge .. so much in one photo. It is beautiful.

Happy New Year .. wishing you the best in 2019!!

Taking a windy flight

FullSizeRender.jpg

If you look close, you can see the Stillwater River. I wanted to fly higher, and fly over the trees to the river, but there was a lot of wind and I was not willing to risk it. Shorty after I took this shot, I started to rain, so I guess I landed just in time.

A dry, brown winter day

FullSizeRender.jpg

Before the rain arrived yesterday, I took a a walk along the Stillwater River. It is kind of brown ... but you could still feel the life all around you. To me, that is the most interesting thing about this season. Life is everywhere, it’s just harder to see.

The Stillwater River is only 69.3 miles long, but it is so scenic. It winds its way through the country side, and draws a variety of life to its banks and water!

Enjoy the video below!

Natural .. not

FullSizeRender.jpg

This photo has a problem. I usually try to avoid shots that have a lot of man-made ‘stuff’ in the picture. I don’t mind the trail or the bridge, but that billboard is a problem. It is so out of place. Sometimes I can edit out things like this, but not in this shot. I still like the picture, just not as much. We are so fortune to have places where you can photograph nature without a lot of junk in the photo.
