I don't know if you have ever attempted to photograph a Cabbage White butterfly, but it is really difficult. They just don't stop. This one did ... so you know what I did.

I really was surprised to see this Red-Spotted Purple Butterfly. I didn't get the photo I wanted but it is still one beautiful butterfly.

We have been watching for a Pearl Crescent butterfly. We both have through we saw one, but we have not been able to confirm it, never mind capture a photograph. This one was just beautiful.

This has been a great week. With the weather warming up, we not only photographed many beautiful birds, but also a few butterflies. The most common right now is the Eastern Comma. The comma is always early to show up in the spring here.
