We photographed a male and a female cardinal yesterday, and I think both of them might be molting. This female seems to be showing it even more. What do you think?

This week has been an absolute whirlwind. Aside from the butterfly paparazzi following my every move, the robins have officially launched a full-scale invasion. Seriously, they are everywhere—I think they might be plotting something. (I has some AI help with the humor here).

There is something truly captivating about the gentle beauty of the mourning dove. Watching one just quietly resting, completely at ease, is a wonderful reminder of how peaceful nature can be. They have this incredibly calm presence, just chilling out and taking in the world around them without a single worry.

This is a beautiful male American Goldfinch! Right now when you're out hiking, you can hear them singing loudly. Then you'll see them flying by. They are so easy to spot because of their unique flying style. I just love this bird!
