We are not sseing much diversity lately .. it feels like we see the same birds most days. They have been very active so we enjoy capturing their pictures. In this case its a Downy Woodpecker.

We stopped to feed the birds at biigwoods and saw this faceoff. This White-breasted Nuthatch and Downy Woodpecker came face to face and locked in a stare-down. After a while, the nutatched flinched and it was over. Cute.

Well, this is not the photo I was hoping for, but it is a Golden-crowned Kinglet. I had the shot a couple days ago that was from the back side, but this time it was just in a dark location. Not bad for what I had to work with.

I tried to get a photo of this Golden-crowned Kinglet from the side or the front but he was just too fast. I have not seen one of these for a long time. I hope he is still around and I can get a better photo nect time I am hinking this trail.
